Cultivating Right Mindfulness: How to Achieve Emotional Balance and Overall Wellbeing.- May 3, 2018 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm with Jabari Jones M.D. - May is right around the corner, and it is Mental Health Month. We are excited because back again this year to help us recognize this important event is our very own Jabari Jones M.D. board certified psychiatrist. Winter Intensive 2018- The SKFTC Winter Intensive Training Program starts on Saturday, January 6th and runs for 5 consecutive Saturdays. This winter, 35th generation Shaolin disciple Shifu Hengxin will train you in the second form of Lohan’s 18 Hands Series, one of the most ancient and foundational forms of Shaolin Kung Fu. Summer Intensive 2016. Weekly recap by Joe A. Bondy - My name is Joseph Bondy, and I am a student of Shifu Hengxin. Shifu and Shimu Arlene have asked me to write weekly about our school’s Fifth Summer Intensive Program, which runs from July 9 to August 5, 2016. The Summer Intensive Program consists of ten training hours each weekend, in addition to our regular class schedule. Each year, we learn a different form and series of techniques. This summer we will study a classic form named Lohan Quan, which is considered a traditional component of Shaolin’s curriculum.

May 14th, 2016, Shaolin Kung Fu Training Center had its very first western-style mental health workshop entitled: Kung Fu for Emotion, hosted by Jabari Jones, MD, Board Certified Psychiatrist. The atmosphere was enlivened, enriched, and invigorated by Dr. Jones. He was energetic, enthusiastic, and engaging, beginning the workshop with an exciting balloon exercise. (Read more)

The legendary art of the Die Da Jiu, March 19th 2016.- On Saturday, March 19th, we had our Die Da Jiu Seminar hosted by André Yershov L.Ac. It was an amazing afternoon! The legendary art of the Die Da Jiu has always been associated with martial arts to treat injuries related to training. Boost your training this summer, or enhance your workout and break some stress with a system of exercise that has been evolving for 1,500 years. Incorporate Shaolin Kung Fu into your life and expect gains in strength, speed, stamina, focus and flexibility. Shaolin Kung Fu concentrates on building the body and mind while continuing the tradition of a beautiful art and its ideals of Clarity, Confidence and Courage. This exciting enrichment program will run for five consecutive weekends. Students will learn movements to the Shaolin Seven Stars form, as well as study the history and poetry of this form. SKFTC Celebrates Tenth Anniversary With Gala Performance and Reception - July, 21, 2010
On July 21, 2011, the Shaolin Kung Fu Training Center of New York (SKFTC) celebrated its 10th anniversary with a 90-minute gala performance, tracing the history of Shaolin through an impressive array of external Kung Fu and internal Qigong forms and techniques. The musical score was composed and played by noted musician Byron Wu on traditional Chinese instruments, including the pipa and wooden fish. (read More)
